Assam Meghalaya
Tucked away in the northeastern corner of India, Assam and Meghalaya are two enchanting states that offer a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and warm hospitality. While Assam is known for its sprawling tea gardens, mighty Brahmaputra River, and ancient temples, Meghalaya captivates with its misty hills, lush forests, and unique tribal traditions. Together, they form a dream itinerary for travelers seeking serenity and soul-stirring experiences.
In Assam, start your journey with a visit to Kaziranga National Park, home to the rare one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife. The capital city, Guwahati, offers spiritual retreats like the ancient Kamakhya Temple perched atop Nilachal Hill, along with river cruises on the Brahmaputra. Don’t miss a visit to Majuli, the world’s largest river island, known for its Vaishnavite monasteries and eco-friendly lifestyle.
